Beautiful Cross Stitch bed linen has long been a Reed family favourite, and the motif adorning this duvet cover is based on an original design plucked from the archive, updated in fresh colours for contemporary tastes.

In the 1980s, London’s finest department stores all relied on the Reed family’s expertise for their bed linen and, naturally, each wanted something extra-special to appeal to their discerning clientele. Since Harrods was already the exclusive stockist of our five-row cord bed linen, Mark Reed’s father – ever the innovator – decided to create a completely new, decorative embellishment to set it apart from the rest.

Featuring two rows of overlapping, diagonal stitching, Peter Reed christened his new creation ‘Cross Stitch’, a design that remains as desirable today as when it was first stitched four decades ago.
